How to get in and find your room
Vanha Postitalo is a self-service hotel: the doors have code locks and there is no reception. Your door code and room number are sent on the arrival day at 2 p.m. by email, WhatsApp and SMS. Check-in from 4 p.m., check-out by 11 a.m. You can book a room even late on the arrival day – the code comes automatically.
Entrances
Address Wahlinkatu 8, 78250 Varkaus. Enter through the main door (at the Sale store end) or through doors A and B on the parking lot side. The same code works on all outside doors and on your room door. The rooms are on the 2nd floor: go up the stairs from the outside door. Room numbers are on the doors and on the notice boards in the hallways. If a door does not open, try another door.

Parking
Free parking in the courtyard, also for large vehicles. If the courtyard is full, you can park on the street – remember the parking disc. EV charging points at the market square about 200 m away (paid).
Check-out
Check-out by 11 a.m. Ask customer service for a later check-out (until 12). The locks lock automatically – no need to lock the doors yourself.
Help – what to do if the code does not work
- Check the code once more in the message: digits in the right order, no extra spaces.
- The code works on the arrival day from 4 p.m. If you need an earlier arrival, ask on the morning of the arrival day – early check-in is possible if the room is ready.
- Do not use the PIN from Booking.com or Airbnb – use the code we sent you.
- Are you at the right door and the right room? The room number is in the same message as the code.
- Try another outside door.
